It’s year 7 of USA’s longest running original series, Psych, and the hit detective comedy has already been renewed for an 8th and 9th season because of its enduring appeal. Psych centers on a fake psychic, Shawn Spencer (James Roday), and his best friend, Burton Guster (Dulé Hill) helping the police solving mysteries with breezy banter and sidesplitting slapstick. While Shawn Spencer does have astute attention to detail and photographic memory, he told the police he’s psychic because his extensive knowledge of case details made him appear to be a suspect. He then recruits his longtime friend, Gus, a pharmaceutical salesman, to help him solve the cases. The rest is history, and by Season 7, James Roday and Dulé Hill have maintained a stellar stride complete with fast talk and fun plots, proving to be a winning pair season after season.
